The Mission Statement of the Mid-South Childbirth Cooperative
Our mission is to sustain women’s rights to comprehensive
and accurate information with respect to pregnancy,
childbirth, breastfeeding, and mothering.
We believe that Woman-Centered Care ensures that mothers and their babies are the central focus throughout the childbearing years.
We believe that with accurate information, education, encouragement, and the support & assistance of skilled
birth attendants, women will be empowered to make their own best choices regarding how, where, and with whom they give birth.
